This special interest group was formed at the Derwent Hill seminar in October 2012. The first planning meeting was organised at Planica, Slovenia in May 2013. Organisations from 5 countries are represented in the network: CSOD (Slovenia), bsj (Germany), Metsäkartano (Finland), Frajda (Poland) and Low Bank Ground/Brathay (UK). The network aims to “promote the value of outdoor education centres for lifelong learning across Europe”. This should be achieved by job shadowing, youth exchanges and network meetings and seminars.
