New book launched: The Carbon Cycle by Kate Rawles

“Kate Rawles sets out to discover about global warming the hard way….” Michael Palin.

In 2006 ‘outdoor philosopher’ Kate Rawles cycled 4553miles from Texas to Alaska. Her book THE CARBON CYCLE, Crossing the Great Divide tells the story of her trip, in which she not only deals with the rigours of the journey (cycling for ten hours a day in temperatures in excess of 100F, fighting punctures, endless repairs, inescapable grinding fatigue…) but deals with the question – can we tackle climate change while still keeping our modern Western lifestyles intact?

Copies of Kate’s exciting, recently published book can be purchased in hard copy or elctronic form at www.tworavenspress.com

“A wonderfully rich and insightful narrative……..Kate’s work-a-day belief that the principal purpose of philosophy is to “question the assumptions of our age” keeps even her most abstract reflections grounded in an admirable way.” Jonathon Porritt.
